Weaver’s Rock has four Bungalows with en-suite bathrooms and own balconies. Two of them can be converted into 3 and 4 bed family rooms respectively. The 4 bed bungalow is suited only for two children up to 10 years of age.

Weaver’s Rock has 7 fully equipped camp sites with lawn, shady trees and magnificent views. Our valued camping guests have full access to all facilities and amenities. All camp sites have their own water and electricity supply. Please note that you are welcome to book dinner and /or breakfast until 16:00 of the specific day. Bathroom facilities are in the historic stable building and close to campsite 7.

  • Our hiking trail on the Hohenfels mountain is indicated by markings! Depending on fitness and fancy, you could follow the edge to the top of the mountain after the official trail has ended. Children enjoy the trail and its adventure tremendously, and often our “guide” dogs Miro, Lilly, Nala and Jock will accompany you. Invite them, if you want, they know the trail well.
  • Please remember to write something into the book at the peak!
  • We gladly take you to one of our dams, where up to 350 species of birds and birds of prey are to be discovered.
  • If you are interested in flora, please obtain a list of trees and shrubs, some of them endemic to the region, at the reception. And then start your own discovery tour on the farmstead of Weaver’s Rock.
  • Children are invited to have a great time on the playground. There are also a number of tame and semi-tame animals to be spotted, patted and observed.
  • The pool, lawn, park and loungers invite you to read, write and dream.
  • Take a walk to our crystal-clear lake (5 – 10 minutes). Fresh water anglers are welcome to try their luck (catch and release), but please bring your own equipment. The more adventurous could take a refreshing bath.
  • We have indicated a walking trail with white tins with a track on. The entire trail could take up to 3 hours, so please take water, suntan lotion, a hat and good walking shoes.
  • Our sundowner drives are very popular. We show you our Namibia, our farm, the hour of the long shadows on a 4x4 vehicle and serve you an ice-cold drink while the day is slowly coming to an end. We will look for antelopes, birds, and, with a little luck, other wild animals. These drives are dependent on the weather conditions. Please book at reception.
  • Our experienced, child-friendly ponies Lena and Blümchen invite all children for pony-rides. Please book this unforgettable experience in advance.
  • We recommend day visits to Waterberg Plateau Park, the Cheetah Foundation, AfriCat and the Crocodile Farm - all easily accessible from our farm.
  • Reference books and a game of chess are to be found in the historic stables. Books for exchange are to be found in the small office at reception.
  • At the end of the day you are welcome to share all the day’s adventures at our bar in the lapa. Ice-cold sundowners and, during winter, hot punch are served in front of the fire.
  • If you need advice or have questions, please do not hesitate to approach us. If it is possible, we will address it (e.g. geology, history, flora, fauna, farming, politics of the day, life in Namibia, building bridges for future generations etc).

Busch Chalet

The same terms as for bungalows and camping apply. Our bush chalets allow you to have your own fire on the veranda while you enjoy the magnificent view. You could also make your own “braai” if you have own equipment, or rent the self-catering kitchen in the historic stables. The bush chalets have their own toilet and hot shower with the most magnificent view you can imagine. They are lit up by romantic petroleum lamps (and solar lights). The “real Africa” experience for romantics or real Africa lovers. Dinner and/or breakfast can be booked until 16:00 of the specific day.

We organise and/or facilitate:

  • Weddings, anniversaries, family gatherings, business functions etc
  • Conferences, trainings, seminars (experienced trainer/coach/facilitator available)
  • Language courses, motivational workshops, business communication courses, leadership training etc
  • Teambuilding Events

We organise and accompany you on excursions and trips through our country. A fully equipped Land Rover as well as experienced tour guide awaits you. Please also consult for more information.

Although we try everything possible to ensure your safety, please remember that we live in Africa and we would like to ask you to treat all animals with respect and caution. Please lock your bungalow, bush chalet, vehicle, camper when you do not occupy it. Activities are all at own risk and parents are responsible for their children. Weaver’s Rock does not take responsibility for losses and accidents.

We are a small guest farm and want you to experience life the way we do. Join us on our journey through the daily life in Africa. Please know that there are a lot of animals on the farm. Our dogs are raising our four children with us, so they know. They also have the task to keep our area free of baboons, porcupine or even the odd leopard which may want to come and have a closer look…But do not get fooled by their hungry looks (the dogs, that is)  -  we do feed them……
